Quality composition of a package will always depend on the product itself:
- Actual mass of the product
- Essential to know and make sure the casing quality will maintain and protect the content
- Type of product and the integration of a corporate identity
- Important to know are the different purposes of the packaging:
will this mainly be for transport or rather be a project for an attractive eye-catcher like a display?
.Weight & Composition.
Corrugated cardboard qualities always arise from the weight of the paper used in the composition of it;
.Corrugated cardboard: Waves.
Below a list of all cardboard qualities we currently work with on our automatic press:
E - Wave, micro-wave
E-wave is the thinnest quality available in the corrugated cardboard quality range. With a thickness of only 1,4 mm this quality is perfect for the production of displays, trays and all types of packaging containing little weight.
The surface of the micro-wave quality is the most beautiful one since this quality contains 300 waves a meter which gives smooth and flat layer on top of that.
B - Wave
B - wave, with a thickness of approximately 3 mm and 160 waves a meter, is describable as a perfect compromise for larger sized packaging with relatively little mass.
The B-wave quality is mostly used for transport purposes however the surface can induce a rather "raw and authentic", look when used for displays or take away boxes.
C - Wave
C - wave, even rougher than B - wave, a thickness of approximately 4 mm and 140 waves a meter, is a light but thick and raw material.
This quality is stronger than B-wave and has a higher capacity for transport but is less interesting for the eye; waves are often visible on the surface of the cardboard.
A combination of "Raw": BC-Wave
The BC-wave is where the "big mass" comes in.
This double-waver is a winner when it comes to protection and transport. Thickness: 6 - 7 mm.
Sizes in packaging made out of BC-wave differ from 'normal' boxes to boxes with HUGE dimensions; take a pallet box for example.
A Perfect Team Up: EB-Wave
EB is a grateful quality when it comes to developping packaging that has to have it all:
This discreetly strong material has a lot of capacity since it is a double-waver & has the most beautiful surface available on top of that.
The Monster: Tripple-Waved BCB
No words needed, the title says it all.
This quality is rarely used because at this point people probably will start thinking about wooden boxes.
More than 10 mm thick, this ultra strong matter is used to pack the heaviest products transported in corrugated cardboard material.
.Corrugated cardboard: Colors.
Colored in the material's Mass
Black
All-black corrugated cardboard, colored in the material's mass, is a popular product on our automatic press that's only available in an E-wave quality.
Often used for relatively small sized trays, displays and boxes, giving a tight and luxurious appearance to the package.
White
White cardboard, available in both shiny and matte material, exists in all qualities mentioned above.
Often used for medical and pharmaceutical products, this material ensures the packaging makes a pure and neat impression.
Simply Brown
The most common color in the corrugated cardboard packaging field is ofcourse the typical brown color.
Accessible to all products, the simply brown color is almost overarching the spectrum of all available qualities.
Various
Other mass-colored corrugated cardboard products do exist but are less present on the market.

Colored Surface
White. Pink. Red. Yellow...
Pretty much everything is possible when it comes to just a color on the surface.
A simple colored paper sheet (shiny or matte) will be glued on top of the wave, providing the packaging with the chosen color .
